Getting around Tulum “town” by bike is great, we are only 1/2 mile from downtown Tulum. BUT you will want a car or scooter if you plan to explore the area and get back and forth from the beach. We recommend renting a car. Taxis and tours will add up and there is a lot of stuff out of biking range.
